K'ulb'a

One of the four divisions of the citadel of Chi K'ix, K'ulb'a appears in the third position. Anthropologist Allen J. Christenson (2007: n710) interprets it in English as "Landmark," following the definition of k'ulb'at in Basseta's colonial-era dictionary. Additionally, he notes, "In the Título Totonicapán, this site is referred to as Culba-Cavinal, indicating that they are closely-related sites."

El lingüista k'iche' Sam Colop (2008: 189n316) explica el significado del nombre del tercer sitio en la lista de las divisiones del pueblo k'iche' en Chi K'ix. Rastrea la traducción de K'ulb'a así: "<k'ulba't 'monjón' o 'límite.'"
