K'iche' scholar Sam Colop (2008) provides more geographic detail for the lineage, linking it specifically to Sololá and the Ch'umil line.
El lingüista k'iche' Sam Colop (2008: 137n209) rastrea el nombre del linaje Ajch'umila Ja a "la casa de las estrellas", una casa que "ha de ser los ascendientes de Ch'umil, habitantes de Sololá. Cabe señalar que ch'umil (estrella) es una voz kaqchikel.
